Lee, I am not sure when a person should but I know for certain that at some point they have to. You know some folks do have to hit rock bottom before they get the awakening. Some folks don’t really get the reality until they themselves become parents and are forced to recken with doing the right thing. I know we have talked about this before…I just don’t thing there is one right answer. Everyone’s reality is different and therefore everyone who has experienced this hardship will (hopefully) come to the realization of what needs to happen at different times. Yes, there are some who never do get it and then the vicious cycle repeats.

Hey Lee & the rest of the Lee Gang!!! So since we are keeping it real … even with my tech savvy it took me a minute to figure out this blogging stuff but I think it’s kind of cool. I would rather ya’ll be in the presence of your local living area so that I could’ve been tying up your phone line for the last 3 hours (like usual but I guess that will have to wait :-) I think it took me 2 just to get a user name/posting name that someone else didn’t already have and then a few more to figure out how it all comes together :-)

I will happily visit this site and interact with everyone (oh yeah, and leave long blogs until I learn how to break them down :-)

    Chat with you soon.

Lee,I feel that personal responsibility for mankind varies based upon situational variables that exist in ones life. For example, a youth who assumes partial economic responsiblity in his home at age 15. Opposed to an individual who blames
(as you stated) his rearing, environment and society for his/her inadequacies and shortcomings. Personally I feel that the Jewish community does it best with the Barmitzpah/Batmitzpah ceremonies. The expectation that personal responsibility and manhood begin at this point and each youth is dealt with accordingly. This allows God’s true character and purpose to evolve in young lives. Manhood not childhood.

    Yours in Christ,

    Jerome
